Hudson River Cup OC6 Race

The OC6 Races

Hoboken Cove Community Boathouse and Ke Aloha Outrigger are pleased to bring back the 6-person outrigger canoe races in New York Harbor! The race will feature womens, mens and mixed crews in multiple age categories utilizing their water skills to navigate one of world's busiest urban harbors.

Womens and Mens Race - 12 miles

The Women and Mens race will paddle a 12-miles along the Hudson River and around New York Harbor.

Mixed Race - 9 miles

Mixed Crews will race a 9-mile course into the New York Harbor and turn around at the Statue of Liberty.

Race Course

All racers will start and finish at Hoboken Cove at Maxwell Place Park in Hoboken, New Jersey. Crews will head south on the Hudson River into New York Harbor.

Women's and Men's Crews turn east at the large green buoy in front of Ellis Island, head around Governors Island and emerge face-to-face with the Statue of Liberty. The Women's and Men's Crews will race behind Liberty and Ellis Island's reentering the Hudson River back to Hoboken Cove.

Mixed Crews will continue south past Ellis Island and make their turn at the green buoy in front of the Statue of Liberty before heading north on the Hudson River to Hoboken Cove.

Distance: 12 miles
Launch Time: 7:30, Start Time: 8:00

MEN'S RACE - ALL DIVISIONS
Distance: 12 miles
Launch Time: 10:00, Start Time: 10:30

MIXED RACE - ALL DIVISIONS
Distance: 9 miles
Launch Time: 12:30, Start Time: 13:00

Course and times may change on account of weather and other safety factors

Registration

This race is open to all OC6 crews racing in Unlimited womens, mens or mixed divisions. An online form for teams who would like to declare their intent to compete in the OC6 race will be announced shortly.

East Coast Outrigger Racing Association (ECORA) teams will have priority registration. Non-ECORA teams can participate if space allows

The HRC team is working to secure discounted lodging nearby for athletes looking to participate in the 2026 Hudson River Cup.
